The planet is steering dangerously close to becoming a ‘hot house’ if humans continue to emit carbon at the current rate.
A domino effect of climate change processes is leading the planet to a tipping point beyond which it would be impossible to avoid a ‘hot house’ effect.
That according to a prominent group of global scientists who’ve published their research in the prestigious international journal PNAS.
Stockholm University’s Dr Steven Lade says while it’s scientifically possible to avoid the scenario it might not be politically possible.
